How do I stop being so stiff when dancing?
Can a terrible dancer become good?
Dancing takes a lot of confidence, and people who lack confidence in dancing don’t have the power and the right vibe. You could be born flexible and may have traits that will help you dance. Some people are naturally flexible, but unless they are trained to dance, they may not turn out to be good dancers.
Why do I get stiff so easily?
Causes of common stiffness include exercise soreness, “muscle knots,” overuse injuries, arthritis and “inflammaging,” inflammation (from chronic infection, autoimmune disease), by mild widespread pain (fibromyalgia), anxiety disorder, and medication side effects.
Why are my hips stiff when I dance?
Some of the main hip flexor muscles are the rectus femoris, tensor fasciae latae, artorius and iliopsoas. Tightness of these muscles can be a result of gripping in the front of the leg or sitting for long periods of time. The tighter these muscles get, the less flexibility we have which can lead to pain and discomfort.
